Thailand Orphanage Trip 2005
A long long time ago the original village of Sangklaburi, including several temples made of both wood and stone sat in a low valley near where they current town of Sangklaburi is. Then it was decided that a dam needed to be built in the area to regulate water going to Bangkok. This caused the village to flood under 30+ meters of water. Anything made of wood is long gone. The only things that remain are the stone structures.
This shot is of the water retreating. At its peak the water goes to the top line so only the top 3-4 feet is visible.
These shots are about 1.5 MB each and show more detail.
The top of an old wooden temple.
