Helping 3 girls with a skit contest. The skit is about a funny dream they had. They each had a different dream, but all three were about the future and their dreams. I added some pronunciation help and some new gestures. The contest is Wednesday, August 3rd and I agreed to go. It's strange not being told I have to go. It's back in Fukushima city.

Helping one girl with her speech contest. She's really eager and has great pronunciation. I only had to help her with the words "experiences" and "frustrated". I also gave her some advice on emotion and gestures and I really think she has a good chance. The speech contest is September 1st, but I don't know where. I would guess Koriyama.

The 3 girls went to Fukushima city for the skit contest. They didn't win, but it was great English experience for them. I have an idea for the first place prize next year. I don't want to give it away, but it will win.

The 2 girls went to the speech contest. They didn't make any mistakes and performed perfectly, but they didn't win. The people that won either read their speeches or had lived overseas for 2 years. Japanese speech contests aren't about who does the best job, it's about who "should" win or who "shouldn't" win.

All but one of the people I coached on taking the tough English interview test passed. I am really surprised the person that failed is the person who failed. He was above average. I really don't know why he failed. Now they all move on to a much tougher level for the January test.
