500 year old shrines.

Even older shrines and new markers explaining them. The marker says:
"We can't read the stones since they are so old".

Toori gates are everywhere as are little shrines.

The new mountain road is paved in this strange red rubber stuff that must be replaced each year
 since the snow plows rip it up unintentionally. But it sure is pretty.
