A glass enclosure of slight interest.
There was some miniature snow man
contest at the station. I think the snowmen
were miniature, but the contest was regular sized. But who knows.
Some examples of said miniature contest.
It would snow off and on all day. Here the wind was killing me.
More festive miniature snowmen. I
doubt there is a standard snowman size, so
referring to these "miniature" would be, in fact, false.
There were so many people trying to
store luggage at the station they had to set up this
temporary storage place, which then filled up and they had to find somewhere
else.
For lunch we ate at some famous
Ramen shop. They had an exhibition where Ramen from
all over Hokkaido was available. Mine was quite tasty.
My back is to the ice sculptures and
our hotel is to my left. Facing the main street with
Sapporo station at the end. The trees were lit up at night and it was festive.
The part of town we stayed in was called Susukino. I don't think it has a meaning.
