| At some point in
history, a king of Thailand (though it was Siam at the time) decided to
have Angkor Wat moved from Cambodia to Bangkok piece by piece. After
enough people told him it was impossible, he had a replica built. What's
still amazing is, at the time, they had to go to Angkor Wat and draw
everything and measure it and then come back to Bangkok and construct it.
If they needed to go back and check something it would take several days
to get there. |
