The Head of The English department passed out at my welcome party. He had a hard day, let him sleep. One of the other teachers kept poking him. No, Daisuke, get away, that's a big shark, don't stick your hand there.

My Higashi supervisor, Ms. Eriko Hiraki. She's very helpful and her English is nearly perfect. She's only studied in Japan which is strange, she speaks as if she lived in the US for years. She said she has always loved English. I'm so un-photogenic. All the students lining up to walk to a concert. I'll name them all from left to right, Sato San, Mami San, Naoko San, well ok maybe later.

Scott, Maggie, Joy, Brandon Oops, forgot their names. The girl with the surprised look is Jaye, she throws big parties, like the beach party.

Brandon and some girl. Hmm, I wonder who that is. Eileen, Jeff(?), Chris-Lynn, Oops (but I think she's Australian. Notice the girl in the background with Terminator eyes.

For the record, I really like girls in cowboy hats. I mean I really do. And here are two. Jean and Nicole.

Joubin and Eileen. I call him juban which is #10 in Japanese. He's from England and pretty funny. On the bus to Tokyo, he spent an hour trying to get his jaw back into socket. It popped out when he was talking to me. Maggie and Kamery.

Karen looking at her BF Darwin. They are both Canadians. Pretty cool eh? What's that all aboot. Some cool guy and Nicole. No sarcasm there, he was actually pretty cool. Can't remember his name though because he lives in some far off distant town.

Shasi at the DnB party. Instead of buying drinks at the bar you buy them at the front desk and they give you a letter. Shasi got the letter X whereas I had J. I returned my J and said I wasn't pleased with it and was in the market for a good R or maybe even a Q. I settled for a lowercase p. The girl on the right is Michaela. She is from South Africa. Isn't that hardcore? South Africa. I've never known anyone from there, and I only think of deserts and aborigines when I hear Africa. She's no aborigine.

I tried to get a pic of the name sheet I have for all the teachers but it didn't quite work out. You can make out a few key players though. Top right is the Principal or Koucho Sensei (koo choo). He's really cool and yet distinguished at the same time. He knows decent English we always practice. Below him is the Kyouto Sensei or VP, also cool but speaks no English. Below him is the building manager or Jimuchou San, not his name but his title. (Jim uu choo), To his left is Akaoka Sensei an English teacher. Her name is like A-OK. Moving back a bit, two over to the left from Koucho Sensei is Rikkimaru (Ricky Martin). He's a really jovial cool guy, but minimal English. Especially when he tries to say "I know Jimmy Carter's PEANUTS".
